Leaving Our Rocks For Blessings at Cruz de Ferro Monument (10/1)

On our way to Molinaseca, we reached the Purrto Irago/ Cruz de Ferro Monument. This is the monument where we will place the rocks we brought from home for blessings. The iron cross stands atop a weathered pole that has become a spiritual spot for all pilgrims passing along the St. James way. It is a humble, but majestic spot. 

I placed my rocks from Cassie, her dog Bama, my Houston and Atlanta grandchildren and Cassie's friend Chris. There were so many rocks from hundreds if thousands of pilgrims that have passed before us. Then Lee placed his rock. We said prayers and blessed our rocks and then left them behind. Maybe some day our family will able to do the Camino and find our rocks. Hope so!
